I thought it sounded like fun... So much negativity.

'Tho, I think it sounds fun in the girly "let's play dress up!" way. But their target audience is probably the kinda guy that buys anime girl body pillows... Eww...

Smile What, What, What?! This I have to see, I didn't even know they made such a thing.

Where by tell, would you find one? I am curious now what they look like. This has got to be the funniest thing I think I have ever heard of!

Forizzle?

Don't have any pictures on hand, so I hit up eBay

Here.

EDIT: Personally, I would get [removed]

Not that I would actually buy any of these, lol

EDIT2: After realizing who was on the second one, I changed my mind...

After I realized I was typing what they were called wrong, I found a bunch here http://www.hlj.com/product/CSP22822 just click on related items to the pillow. I'm actually debating wither or not to actually buy one. lol My mind would be made up already if they had one of Ran Mouri from Detective Conan. But No such luck so far.

So it's like an MMO without the gameplay? Blah, that is kinda weird. Now if they incorporated monster slaying into it somehow, that'd be fine, but as is I don't see it getting much success. But perhaps I underestimate the Japanese anime fanbase...

I don't see why it would not be fun? The SIMS seemed to be vastly popular both state side and overseas. And that was basically the same thing. Only this time you get to use familiar characters that we all know and love. Smile Seems like it would be even more fun then the SIMS.

I agree ^

As far as the pillows go, I'd totally get one if I found one that I liked and is reasonably priced.

You guys seem to be forgetting IDOLM@STER. That was and is a raging success in Japan. It is an MMO and you even have to buy many of your items with real cash. Or play the arcade game and dish out thousands of yen to keep playing. (I wish I could play that game, darn eff-ing reigon encoding...).

For those who don't know IDOLM@STER is a Japanese MMO where you raise an idol (ranging in age from 12 to 20) up to stardom and deck her out with clothing and items and go through fun dating sim style scenes. (Non-18+ game.)
Dom from MegaTokyo did a review a while back of the Arcade version (the game is on Xbox 360 now.) linkie There is a sequel coming out as well.
