So which version will this be? I've heard conflicting reports saying the whole movie has been dubbed, and that only the trailer was dubbed, with the movie itself subbed. Which is it?

My school's theater got the Viz movie Linda, Linda, Linda so i'm hoping we'll get this as well. I hope this isn't dubbed. I won't see it if it is. Animated stuff is one thing since there aren't real actors to being with, but I HATE AND DETEST dubbing over a real actor's performance.

Guess we'll have to wait until they put the list of theaters up before we'll find out which theaters are getting the dubbed version, and which will be getting the subtitled version....

Would this include Canada? Vancouver and Toronto must be in the top 300 venues in North America.

o_o well, as far as I was told...

It's going to be released in Theatres dubbed. I think it's interesting that they're using the original VAs in the anime. I don't mind that at all.

Probably not if anything it will probably be released two weeks after the American release like Naruto was.

I really hope this will be playing somewhere near me. Death Note + movie theater = awesomeness IMO.

Not just in theater, but in HD (hooray!) Watch the releases be dvd only.

Also nice of Viz to find a location near the Metro this time. Though I will never understand how Hagerstown is considered to be remotely near (or large or known well) enough to get double billing with DC. At least we get two days to choose from rather than one and dones.

Alright, well now I'm not so sad that I'm missing it. I'll watch some anime dubbed, but I hate live-action films that have been dubbed.

Theatre list if you don't feel like downloading

AMC Detroit Livonia 20 19500 HAGGERTY RD LIVONIA MI 48152
NAM Detroit Ann Arbor Showcase Cinemas 4100 Carpenter Rd Ypsilanti MI 48197

Woot! I'll hit either one of these, probably Livonia. I'll be way out of school before then Wink Three weeks...hehehe

HOLY~ it's going to show in GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN~

granted, that's still a bit of a drive for me, but it's damn better than the closest theaters being Detroit or Chicago like most of the limited screening anime or Japanese/Asian live action movies I want to see tend to be.

and dubbed~ now my mom will be happy as well. she loves Death Note (she told me once she thinks L is sexy *sweatdrop*) but she can't read subs because they trigger her migraines.

I am saddened that it will be dubbed instead of subbed, because I dislike dubbing of live-action stuff. But if it's a good dub I won't complain too much.

OMG!!!!!! Showcase Cinemas West in Flint! Yahoooo! No need to drive for hours to get to see it. Come one, tickets!
