Remember that this is only the first half of the series as the second half of Gundam 00 airs in Japan this fall. Hopefully Bandai Entertainment will get the other half sometime next year.
Let's hope Bandai will license "Pretty Cure 5" as well, and NOT 4kids Entertainment. |

I was originally a naysayer to this show, but it grew on me. I'm looking forward to season 2, and when the box sets come out, this will definitely be a must-buy for me.
(Plus, this show was the first I was able to watch in its raw format, so it holds a special place in my heart) |

I never knew that the FullMetal Alchemist guy directed this. I'm going to have to remember his name. He's done two shows that I think are really good.
I wonder what channel will eventually show this. Cartoon Network doesn't have HD if i'm correct. Also, with HD they could actually broadcast the show in English and Japanese w/English subtitles at the same time... assuming they wanted to. Really they could do that now with closed caption and using the spanish language track for japanese, since its just silence or the same as the regular broadcast right now. |

Seiji Mizushima. He also directed the funnest Evangelion episode, "Both of you, dance like you want to win!" |

Then you might want to check out Gundam Wing. The animation sadly didn't age very well (it came out in 1995), but the story bears some striking similarities to Gundam 00. |

This is indeed awsome, but however,i've never been too much of a fan of the recent new gundam series, especially the train wreck disaster that was Gundam Seed Destiny( which was a disgraceful sequel to the awsome original Gundam seed,it should have been renamed Gundam Seed Disaster, because thats exactly what that sequel represents),but however, for once, this one seems promising from what I've seen from it so far.
but however,I still hold my statements, the newer gundam stories just don't have that same magical feel anymore like the older series's such as Stardust memories,Gundam Wing,8th Team, ect. |

The reason why Gundam doesn't do well in the West is because we already have an awesome war-based (animated) show. It's called The Transformers. And Japan is mainly unable to do anything war-based because Japan is anti-war; "soft power" and all.
The real victims coming out of this will be the hard-working people who are employed by Bandai Entertainment. I bought some of their titles; they're good at localizing good shows. |
I thought Gundam Wing did pretty well when it was released in the US and shown on Cartoon Network... I think as long as the main characters don't constantly whine about having to fight (the biggest difference I remember about Wing and SEED), and there are lots of robots blowing each other up, it has a chance to do all right.
I first watched SEED on its TV run, and at one episode a week, the pacing of that show was frustrating, to say the least. I was not that surprised when it moved time slots... What little I know of 00 makes it seem closer to Wing, so hopefully it can get on TV and do well.
I'm just glad it is getting released with an English dub. After Bandai Visual released IGLOO, I was afraid that they might be the ones releasing 00. |

00 is too mature for regular CN
and I don't think AS would show 00 (I'd imagine Code Geass took a lot of prodding from fans and maybe Bandai itself)
00 really needs a TV spot on extended cable to do well (which I think it can do) so the question remains where would be a good TV spot for 00? |

What? Where's that prediction come from?
You don't need to worry about 4kids licensing Pretty Cure anymore. Toei really REALLY doesn't like them . I know that for a fact. |

| I think Gundam 00 should be on Anime Selects. I read somewhere that Cartoon Network/Adult Swim isn't allowed to show Gundam anymore because of various problems like edits and alternating age ratings. Anime Selects is where I saw the dubs of Gravitation and Shrine of the Morning Mist. |

my problem is; I've never even heard of that channel
I'm guessing it's some satellite of digital cable channel
I don't think 00 would benefit much from such a position
the place I think 00 would fit best (and still be accessible) would be Sci-Fi channel (but that won't happen) |

Let's be radical and suggest a 10 or 10:30pm spot on Fox. I'd suggest prime time, but even my pipedreams have their limitations. |

| Anime Selects is available on demand if you have comcast digital cable. If anyone has this channel, go to channel one, scroll down until you find The Cutting Edge. There, you should find it. Anyway, back on topic. Gundam Seed Destiny is on Anime Selects as we speak, so I think 00 would be good there too. Sorry if I'm being stupid. |

Wow, so he's been involved with two shows in my top 5 and he did Gundam 00. He's officially been committed to memory. |
