Heh I only started thinking like that about Mario after a friend told me how disturbing two Mario games were...Super mario the one with Yoshi, and Mario KART...
For super mario, my friend said that the idea that you are riding a frog like cannibalistic dinosaur and eating all of the enemies in your path and regurgitating it as an egg was kinda freaky if it ever happened in real life...and for Mario Kart, my friend thought it looked likee waht road rage would be like in a cartoon like game world...where people shot each other, but with shells and banana peels instead of guns. And thanks to him, I started thinking about other issues my friend might have gotten disturbed by...and I got THAT far...not to mention how eating poisonous mushrooms can make you double in height.
I will the mangas and novels of this make children think that they are espers or aliens or...telepaths. Or will it teach a kid who is transferring to a new school to make a fool of her/himself in the first day of class by openly stating he/she wants nothing to do with normal humans etc.... |

So would a cat being hit by a safe falling from the sky, then going to hell and discovering he's lost one of his nine lives (things that showed up sometimes in Tweety Bird cartoons). There's a lot of things that show up in "cartoonish" shows and video games that would be disturbing IRL.

I don't know, does Harry Potter make children think they're witches and wizards? I'm sure there's some kids out there that it does, but I used to watch Sonic the Hedgehog as a kid and it didn't make me think I was a three-foot-tall anthropomorphic animal. Although I guess it did make me eat chilli dogs a little more.
Plus, as I said, they might be aiming to advertise this as for teenagers. If they do...well, hopefully the average teen has a concept of reality versus fantasy, or a lot of the anime viewers out there are in serious trouble. |

No....but her reasoning for that part was that the cat deserved it, he had it coming trying to eat the cute little bird...BUT she did find Elmer Fudd's antics with Bugs bunny to be disturbing...don't know why...maybe she have a soft spot for bunnies...or maybe she don't like the idea of hunting a little rabbit with a giant oversized rifle...Ill never understand her...

According to several concerned christian coalitions and parents...yes...but I doubt anybody actually takes them seriously anyways...I doubt even christians take them seriously...
Anyways, I don't know if it came up here, but a friend of mines once showed me this news article in Google...and you know what its called...
Kid dies playing Naruto Sand Ninja in a sandbox...or something like that....
The kid was TEN...well...jsut try to look it up in google and read the article to find out what happened.
Anyways, I don't know if ten years of age is considered Teen, maybe tweens I guess. But if something as ridiculous as that could happen...well this is starting to get a bit offtopic. So I'll get to the point...hope there wont be any censorship or americanization just for the sake of any overly young and impressionable readers and jsut let them mess themselves up and learn. |
