Indeed! American porn is so disgusting. Not like hentai. In fact if there is one thing hentai is known for it is keeping it classy. Well...that or tentacle rape. Wink
For the record, I have seen all of Bible Black in Japanese, and some of it in English. I do agree that the English dub has many many problems, including wonderful lines like spoiler["They suddenly started! Asada was walking with his girlfriend, but when he saw Murai, he, he told her he love her, and began to rape her. Oh, this is so bad!"] But I didn't see the original version as being all that great in the script department either. So yes the English dub is bad, but to me, you can't butcher something when there was nothing to butcher to begin with.

One of the few good hentai dubs I've heard is Duchess of Busty Mounds (see the Shelf Life column), which is good *because* it deviates from the original. On the other hand, most "faithful" hentai dubs I've heard are either too literal, like Sex Taxi -- "No, don't touch...such a part," or you can just hear the "deer-in-the-headlights" effect when the actresses stumble through strange lines like "You can have an eternity...if you want" (One: True Stories).

While this has nothing to do with the argument at hand, I'd like to give kudos to whoever made a better ending to 'If I See You In My Dreams'.

Seriously; that new ending rocked! Still, it could never happen, as most male leads in anime have what we latin-americans call 'a lack of cojones'. I would have loved to see that new and improved ending.

I have to say that I watched Cardcaptors and liked it. Even with what has been said, when I watched in 5th grade I thought that sakura was the main character of the show.

Even from what I see people saying about it I do say that One Piece is worse then Cardcaptors.

Same here. My memory of it isn't that great as it was so long ago but I don't remember ever getting the impression that Lee was the main character.

If you took a Spanish language class then you'll know the vowels are pronounced the same. That makes it a bit easier to understand.

And, for the record, I never cared to watch hentai in english. I guess I'd rather see the curse words than hear them all of the time... Confused

It's not that per say... My personal opinion is just that most of the lines said were so cheesy . I pretty much praise Angel Blade for being well done on their dub, and I think there was another one which name I cannot remember at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean literal as line to line, I just thought the first season was treated poorly. No more, no less. I mean, if you didn't think it butchered the series, that's fine at all, but there was no right or wrong answer, I just wanted to explain why I was just "Wtf" with the series.

I suppose if I did know japanese fluently, I'd probably go wtf too.

Favorite lines spoiler[Shiraki: "You're so mean, My feelings are not a fake!" and "Don't just watch, help us with them!" ]
