Ahh, don't worry about UltimaShadowfax, that's what the little exclamation points in the corners are for.  lol
Anyhow, I am curious to see what this movie will be like. I want to know if there is going be as much power up, "ahhhhh!" kind screaming in it as there is in the anime, among lots of other things. I have mixed feelings about some of the stuff I've heard about this movie, so I won't know if it is good or not until I at least see a full-on theatrical trailer. Of course, since I never really cared for the anime much, I have no emotional attachment to it the way so many others here seem to. I wonder if they'll work in my favorite Ghosts Busters 2 line: "I hate jello."  No, I won't count on it, don't worry. |

I'm patiently waiting for the movie trailer as well. Perhaps the visionary masters shall not fail us? |

::shrugs:: I have no idea. Some of the casting sounds... odd, sort of. But, with CGI, who knows? it could work. Take Speed Racer, as an example, I did not care for the treatment. The lights... too many lights... siezure-inducing lights. That just felt like effects run amok to me. But otherwise it was... okay. It was speed racer. So for this, it might be sort of the opposite... good effects, so-so casting/costuming? But, it's all speculation until I hear some dialog, and see some whole, finished footage. JMO, and not so humble, at that. |

| Oh well you can never expect a work of art when it comes to a live-action adaption.
I just hope this doesn't end up becoming a high school drama or something where kid likes girl (Chi-chi) and finds he has powers, meets up with other powerful people who train him, girl gets kidnapped, then he saves the girl and they fall in love... At least in the Dragon ball series he was kind of tough to begin with and lived in the wilderness as a hunter (basically) which kind of explained why he was tough. He didn't even really like Chi-chi (in any romantic sort of way) in the anime, he just happened to get with her because of a series of events. I don't think he even had any romantic feelings for her towards the end of Dragonball (more like dedication). I wonder if the manga was different in that aspect. lol.. guess its all good though most adaptions go the way of becoming more modern. I just hope they give the characters at least similar personalities to the original or they could have just made a whole new story with totally different characters set in the dragon ball world which I think would have been a better idea to make everyone happy (or just not as angry lol) |

This is soemthing i've been thinking about for days. I checked out the sites listed, and couldn't find him anywhere. Wasn't Krillin a big part of the plot? How could they just remove him like that? Even the casual fan remembers the bald guy. Little tweaks like this are what pisses me off. I can understand not having every side charcter in the show in the movie, but I think the main cast deserves a shot. I wonder how they'll (if they do) introduce him now. Maybe change the plot some more and make him into one of the Saiyains. And while they're at it making this "more realsitic" why not just change Vegeta's name to Rob. Thats much more realistic. (Goku and Rob the adventure of Super Saiyians!!!) *cry* at this point is Goku even an alien anymore? Or is this like some twisted bastardization in which Goku is born to a human mother? I wonder if he'll even have zits, and even more bed head. Heck, I bet he's even considered the nerd in his "school" and wants to ask the cutest girl to the dance. Every teenage This is much more than a simple change of venue (like the upcoming Akira) which I could totally understand. I'm not against new adaptations of things, but don't fix something that isn't broken. Edit: forgot one. He's also got to be home by 10 on the weekends. But Mommmm! I've got to save the world from an evil green man!!! GOKU!! What's the matter with you? And him : There's nothing wrong mom. And she goes: Don't tell me that, you're on drugs! And I go: No mom I'm not on drugs I'm okay, I was just thinking you know, why don't you get me a Pepsi? And she goes: No you're not thinking, you're on drugs! Normal people don't act that way! I go: Mom just give me a Pepsi please Actually, if they had the above conversation in the movie i'd said it was made of win.
Edit: For the rushing thing. I believe they rushed making the movie itself. They didn't think things through at all. I don't think the writers were on the top of their game. But what they can rush is more pictures of the chacters in costume and such. I want to see more of this so I can maybe see a glimer of hope that this has something to do with DB other than the fact they kept Goku. .... Or in this case, the name Goku. |

Wow. I certainly wasn't expecting an early 1980s Suicidal Tendencies track to get (mis)quoted on this thread. Certainly makes a nice change from GATSU arguing with himself though.
Let's just leave it on the Repo Man soundtrack where it belongs. Tsk tsk...plundering movies I enjoyed in my youth to prop up one based on a cartoon series from yours. Young people these days are absolutely incorrigible... |

Yes, Gokuu's alien heritage is going to be included in the movie. So hopefully we won't have to watch Gokuu beating up Piccolo and yelling out stuff like, "this is for America!" |

| o.o there are two sides to the story, though. What could suck could be possibly good. in the eyes of the viewer, I suppose. Doesn't make it right or wrong, though. =P
