Yeah, except when a company twiddles its thumbs and loses the license to a show due to their own ineptness, like ADV perhaps. And that happened a lot faster than with other shows people are complaining about. So yes, in the fast paced world of anime, you have to be quick or you will lose out. |

Personally, even though I watch a lot of stuff fansubbed before the DVD release, I don't watch everything in this manner (e.g. Claymore, DTB, Ouran, FMP:TSR -- man, that one was torture to wait for though). |
