| Whoohoo! It's a long shot, but I hope they give other cool titles that didn't sell a second chance with cheaper sets, like New Getter Robo and Hajime no Ippo. |

| Funimation has been doing really well these days, and seeing it come to the rescue of these Geneon titles is heartening. |

Finally, I'll get to collect the DVDs I missed of Fate/Stay Night and complete the first season of Saiunkoku, hope that the series will sell well enough to warrant a release of the second season
I also hope that their acquisition of Shana also includes the OAV and the movie.

Higurashi? Zero? Hellsing Ultimate? Black Lagoon? Ergo Proxy? To a lesser extent Karin? HIGURASHI!?
Where's the emoticon of a smiley angel with tears of joy? Someone make those right now! |

| So, just to be clear, is FUNimation just in charge of distributing while Geneon is in charge of authoring, dubbing, and production? |

Finally i can get my hands on a legit version of Black Lagoon Second Barrage. Although I was really hoping for something related to Shakugan No Shana. Geneon held the rights and no one seems to be interested in bring Shakugan No Shana Second over here which is sad
Edit. Looking at the list more closely Shakugan No Shana is indeed listed. Just very short as Shana hence why i missed it. I wonder if this means Funimation would be willing to bring Shakugan No Shana Second stateside now.

from what i understand, dubbing has been done for few series...
i remember from somewhere that Black Lagoon Second Barrage's dubbing was finished but hasn't had chance to be put out on DVD before Geneon USA's demise...
hopefully whatever dubbing was done, Funimation will keep it or bring back the voices...
i especially LOVED Hellsing Ultimate and Higurashi dubbings.... |

AWESOME NEWS!! AWESOME!!!
THANK YOU 'FUNIMATION!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Now I'll have the chance to own the rest of 'Black Lagoon' and 'Rozen Maiden'. I'm curious to know how they are going to distribute this. Considering how the titles were published. Some folks already own part of an incomplete series.
Will they reprint the titles continuing where they left off or will they create a whole new package deal. I wouldn't want to buy the first season of 'BL' because they did something different with the packaging, extras, etc... 'BL:SB' should be simple since it wasn't released, but the dub work was already mentioned being complete.
This is really exceptionally great news. I'm happy.
Killer Vampire LOLIs RULE!!! And Funimation. So folks who had anything bad to say about them in the past...TAKE IT BACK!! |

Well this'll save me the trouble of having to buy the Madman versions of some of these, although I will be tracking the many Geneon titles that have yet to be saved, but here's how I think it's going to go down, Bandai Ent. gets some, FUNimation gets some, Media Blasters gets some and so on and so on , anyway.................
THANK YOU FUNimation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
