| I'm confused, is this just a one time thing for geneon to get out what it failed to do, or is this a lasting agreement as in funi will be geneons distributor and geneon will contine to license new shows in the future? |

| Currently, its just for the titles stated, the stuff Geneon was working on and a few others. But its possible they will do more titles for Geneon in the future. And its possible Geneon will use others to distribute for them as well. |

| The way I look at it, it depends how well this first batch does. I would say even if this batch does moderately well, thien more than likely Geneon will try to continue to release more stuff, old and new. |

Well if that is the case, maybe there is a small hope for the next Strawberry Marshmallow to be brought over.
I do think it's a good idea to just wait and see how these rescued titles do first before getting my hopes up. |

Especially since this batch has the really popular titles out of those in limbo IMHO. So if these titles, Like Hellsing Ultimate and Black Lagoon Second Barrage can't make it and bring in some profit I highly doubt they'll wanna take risks on titles with an even lower chance of success. |

| Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this is a similar situation that Funi has with Tokyo Pop's Initial D and GTO. |

That's pretty much it. Geneon owns the licenses, has done all the production work (everything but possibly Zero and Nanoha are done), is authoring the discs, setting the MSRP and deciding how the shows will be released (singles or boxes). Funi is distributing. |

Not sure what your asking for here. The article says that Shounen Onmyouji is among one of the titles to be brought back. If any that are not on that list get picked up, I am sure we will all see it on the front page one day. |

Well, since this thread has been resurrected, there was something that I've been wondering.
According to the release schedule, there's going to be around 20+ individual volumes available by the end of September, with more coming in October. Are stores like Best Buy, Frys, FYE, etc. going to have room for multiple copies of these volumes? The Best Buy closest to me has a relatively small anime section with not a lot of room to grow. Frys could probably handle it because they have an entire 30ft. aisle dedicated to anime.
I guess the ideal way, at least at first, will be to buy these from online retailers. The market is going to be a bit flooded by the end of Sept. |
