There are a lot of shows lately that are "based on some drawings" instead of being developed carefully by writing some plot first.

While I'm not sure about this one, but "showcases art" leads me to believe that he just supplies the character designs, not the actual story.

Sometimes anime that are "based on some drawings" can be quite good in their own respect. Look at Haibane Renmei. |

Bishoujo's audience doesn't care for plots, character development or even logic; they want girls. Usually they think: "More hot girls, better anime". Lately, anime is becoming a kind of Playboy magazine. At least Zettai Shougeki doesn't have a loser otaku lead, that's the only good idea. |

| As far as I'm concerned any opportunity to see Jin Happōbi's art animated is OK with me. The guy's (girl's?) work is fantastic. |
