This is the website for a company (Abbyshot) based out of Newfoundland, Canada, that can take custom orders for the clothing we see in films, anime and even some games (like Final Fantasy VIII) if the graphics are high quality. Some of the more requested pieces are the coats seen in Bladerunner, The Matrix and Trigun.

Does it really cost hundreds of dollars to make a custom cosplay costume?

Sadly, yes, a cosplay costume usualy does cost over 100 bucks to make. These guys aparently do professional tailoring with high quality materials. That's the only explination I have for the price. *WANTS the Kingdom Hearts coat*

... They don't have to pay royalties to the orignal designers, do they?

Nah, that's why they come up with creative names like "Stampede Duster" instead of just coming out and saying "Vash's coat from Trigun."

you can probably find someone who could commission vash's coat for less than that.

and to whomever asked, cosplay is suprisingly an expensive hobby. even knowin what went into some of my costumes, i'm still amazed at how much we spent on them.

i can't imagine how much the last exile ones are gonna be Crying or Very sad

Oh,that is awesome!

I wish they made a jacket like Wolfwood's. I love the silver crosses on it.

(For some reason lately, I've become obsessed with Angels and crosses.)

Must... have... Sunstalker Trenchcoat!

But it's WAY too pricy. I once knew a guy who spent about 600+ bucks on a coat that looked exactly like Kyo Kusanagi's(KOF), but that's a bit too much. I guess I'm stuck wearing boring, normal clothes. Oh well... Wink

Not true. They just are under the radar. Legally they're screwed it anyone decides to make an issue out of it. Anyone can see they're replicating copyrighted designs

The Silent Bob coat was lent by Kevin, but the design is still owned by whomever made the original coat

Anyone know of any uk sites that make similar costumes?

We have a real lack of that sort of thing here and even if we do it tends to be very poor quality.

What I'm looking for is the uniform of Saito, the Shinsengumi jacket and his police uniform. If anyone can tell me where I can get them for $30-$85. I know that doesnt seem like much but I'm a college student so Im poor. And that Vash coats does seem pretty sweet if I can afford it."sigh" Oh well esa es mi vida (thats my life).
