| I knew they had dissapeared last year, but I wondered what happened. :/ I have an older Kenshin bag that I bought several years ago from Myth that I use all the time. It's a shame they're gone; the bags were really nice. |

Their website suddenly closing was reported, but no official reason was available at that time. Now we have confirmed reasons why the site closed down about 6 months ago.
This is a shame. It seems like the places who produce the best quality stuff are almost always the one's who lose out. |

Welcome to the business world. Remember Geneon, Working Disigns and other notable companies?
If you want to place the blame on someone, I'd be blaming the people who liked the items, but never bought any. |

Ah, I had one of their Fullmetal Alchemist messenger bags as a backpack for high school. It was really good quality and it lasted for 3 and a half years carrying tons of stuff before it finally bit the dust ( ) My brother has two of their bags, and they're still working, somehow.
It's too bad, really. I was looking forward to what they'd do next... |

EH...?
| Quote: | | ean-Binh Valente mentions that two major reasons for Mythwear's failure were the bankruptcy of the Musicland group of companies, which owed Mythwear a significant amount of money, and his own health issues. |
I don't see anywhere that says that consumers were to blame for this one.... *sigh.* |

Yes, it seems the anime community is still feeling the ripples in the wake of the Musicland debacle. All anime related companies lost lots of money and unfortunately some couldn't survive. That's business for ya. |

I think you've spent too much time in the fansubs/piracy threads

I never heard of them before this announcement...
Lack of advertising - that is the one thing that always gets me - if I find something it's because of luck....
It's too bad - I would have liked to have seen what they made for Kodocha... |

I just came back from a con not too recently, and there were at least 3 tables selling Mythwear bags. So even though they may be out of business, there still seems to be quite a bit of pre-existing stock still circulating the market. So if you want something, you should be able to still find it. |

Aww, I loved Mythwear shoulder bags.
I guess there just won't be anymore stylish anime bags from here on out... =/ |
