**rubs hands together** Agreed. I've been looking forward to seeing Nausicaa for a very long time.

I hate to admit this, but I fell asleep the only time I've tried to watch Nausicca... Embarassed

I really should go and try to watch it again.

Didn't their rights to Totoro expire this year?

Did it? Well that would make sence, it would also explaine why FOX was in a rush to get their DVD out in Dec. 2002.

From nausicaa.com:

"Totoro was dubbed by Carl Macek (Streamline Pictures) and theatrically released in the US by Troma Pictures in 1993; the video, LD, and DVD were released by Fox. Disney has acquired the global distribution rights for Ghibli movies, including Totoro, but Fox's rights don't expire until 2004."

I hope they still have coupons in the discs like last time. A part of me feels kind of guilty, though, because it sounds like
Disney's animators are being "outsourced" to Ghibli. And that's not what I wanted to happen, even though the Mouse sort of deserves it. The animators shouldn't have to suffer for Eisner's mistakes.
