I want one.
I'd attach a loudspeaker and flamethrowers on it and drive around town demanding that everyone bow down to their supreme mechanical overlord.

If it's like the earlier prototypes then someone sits in the clear chest. This one looks like it has a lot of mechanics in the chest though so I'm guessing someone runs it from a distance using the head mounted cams. Pretty cool though, you figure this thing has the reach and strength to grab a small car from end to end and pick it up in the air. Emerje |

It's funny though... more than 20 years ago, this was pretty much all just sci-fi. Slowly but surely, they become fact. I can't help but wonder how much the sci-fi writers and artists have influenced and shaped the world's culture to create things that were only imagined at one time.

It reminds me of the rescue robot that Miyuki used in "You're Under Arrest 2". Pretty cool.

Actually they've been doing those successfully since atleast the 90's. They've even got a blind man that can see (somewhat) when he puts on special head set thanks to connections tied directly to his brain. Neat stuff. Emerje |

these could easily be manufactured as military weapons, all you have to do is replace the rescue arms with high powered machine guns.
