Good to hear that this is supposedly the case. Just don't be lying Tokyopop; I want to keep reading Suppli.

Same here. I even made sure to buy vol 3 despite fearing for it's future, because not buying it would probably send the wrong message (though of course, one sale alone isn't really going to count for much).

I am definitely hoping that this does work. Even though I haven't bought many Tokyopop books lately, they used to dominate my bookshelf and I definitely want them to succeed (though having a bit higher standards when it comes to the OEL stuff would be great).

However, he also acknowledged that a few of the books may only be released online, and he did not rule out the possibility of dropping some titles.

Soooooooo... They're not canceled. Though they could be if they announce so later. Also, maybe you can only get some of them online.

Great.

Meanwhile, I wonder about some other titles that I had my shop order and never showed. Namely original books like PsyComm vol 3 and East Coast Rising vol 2. PsyComm is listed in that comics212 listing.

If orders are canceled through Diamond, does that mean they need to be resolicited and reordered? Or will they ship if the titles as they were originally ordered? I'm guessing the former as Diamond usually has resolicits for such delayed books, especially if they list them canceled on Diamond's end.

Well, delaying/postponing is a lot better than cancelling. Although only one of those titles interest me at the moment (Kat and Mouse; hey, it's actually pretty interesting!), I know Tokyopop has had a lot of cool titles for me in the past (Jing: King of Bandits, Chobits), so I still want them to survive and keep going.

It did seem weird that they'd drop series that were so close to the final volume (Kindaichi Case Files) and series that should be selling well (Beck, Life)

THe Queen's Knight 13 I preordered was cancelled by Right Stuff.
On the other hand, titles from CPM I ordered in 2006 sit there uncancelled. I keep thinking about telling them to cancel them, but it's also interesting to see how long they'll sit there before Right Stuf pulls the plug

It would be nice to finish these titles (I mean TP. CPM is gone) I believe there's only like 3 Queen's Knight volumes left.

Even thought I'm totally not the target audience, I am tempted to check out Kat and Mouse. I like the author, Alex de Campi. I checked out her very neat book Smoke, rather totally unlike this book as a mature readers near future political thriller from IDW. It got nominated for an Eisner. She's a fairly new author, though maybe she's done more stuff in her native England. She was supposed to be working with (semi-infamous) Canadian Schuster Award winning web comic artist Dan Kim, who I like. Though not sure if they ever got a publisher for that. Clearly TokyoPop is out of the question now.

Sounds like corporate speak for "we'll pretend everything's fine so those idiot customers of ours will keep buying things, thinking they'll get to finish them."

It sounds nice on paper but all it really boils down to is "we haven't officially cancelled anything yet but we'll probably do it later."

I thought BECK was cancelled due to Kadosha coming to North America.

Well only 1 titles I normally collected, and 2 others I would have picked up... Kinda hoping that one title is definitely continued... I have gone through 22 volumes of it already! I would like to finish it off!

All I care for is seeing the last volume of B't X come out.

I just read Volume 15 and I want to be able to read the last volume and finish this series.

Damnit, Tokyopop, you're pissing me off!!

Genju no Seiza and Off*Beat are two of my favorite titles! Off*Beat can't be cancelled when all that's left is the finale. And Rolling-- damn, I just ordered volume 1 from Rightstuf.com! I hope these titles are simply postponed and not cancelled!

Twisted EvilEvil or Very MadTwisted Evil You don't want to be on my bad side, Tokyopop! I'm still mad about Descendants of Darkness, Inu Yasha, Ranma 1/2, and Death Note! Twisted EvilEvil or Very MadTwisted Evil

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here just "scheduled" list not "official" one as yet
It might be longer or shorter depending on their next quarter sale or so I heard. Due to "abusive, excessive" acts from most U.S Distributors, I might consider to stop buying/supporting domestic manga(s). That also showing them that this plan of them is nothing but a failure (backfired) from the very beginning.
I already giving up on ADV books and TOKYOPOP will be 2nd one if this keeping up.
I rather than buy imported manga since all of titles will be out in regular schedule not "half_assed" or "cut-off" or "delayed" like this
Only U.S so far has this kind of joke going
Oh, VIZ media is expert about this game
For example, what have happened to Prince of Tennis, Mar, Full Moon, Hikaru no Go..?
and CASE CLOSED manga going to meet same fate sooner or later

Let's just not pull a Geneon here. At least they're in the process of trying to get these titles out. Now, it will depend upon how quick they are to put these titles out and whether or not the fans will satisfied with how Tokyopop deals with these delays.
