It's really sad to see the direction Manga has gone in the last few years because it was the first distribution company in the states that I looked for discovering anime. At the same time I'm happy for Media Blasters for taking up more titles. They re-released Iria just recently and now it looks like we'll finally get Giant Robo on dvd after waiting literaly forever.

Before I got interested in Berserk a year or so ago I had never heard of Media Blasters (anime works?). Anyway, does anyone have a clue when we'll see Giant Robo hit the shelves in the DVD section?

Yeah i had all the Manga VHS dubbed copies of GR. (sold them off on ebay just as soon as i got my DVD Player.)
media blasters has a somewhat impressive line-up with Sadamitsu,Gunparade March,Beserk (didn't care for mirage of blaze though.) I haven't heard much from Manga ent. so i guess MB is taking up the slack.

Btw wasn't there a live action movie based on giant robo, that came out way back in the 70's? In america it was under the title Voyage into space.
