Now how in the hell will this be accomplished? I don't see how they have enough material.

They have the entire ADV catalog plus a couple of shows from other companies.

But how long would it last until they start reruning everything? Unless most of the AM hours are taken up with informercials.

And most of the shows have no more than 30 episodes, right?

Yeah, seriously...I really don't like comcast very much a little while ago they did another of their replacing of the channels, taking away good channels like Bravo and Sci-fi and what do we get in return? um...oxygen...yay...I sure watch that..
come on Anime Network...come to comcast...

Me, too.

We still don't have the OnDemand version here.

CN reruns their shows all the time. Doesn't make it bad, now does it?
Most channels rerun their shows so that the people who missed it the first time around can see it. I mean, I have the OnDemand version and I miss episodes all the time! That's just the "evil" that is television.
I'm quite confident that the AnimeNetwork people know what they are doing.

Although it is true about the re-runs, I'd say that CN has more titles to play with than ADV. But I suspect that ADV will work on getting more shows from other companies as well, and really turn this "experimental project" into a full fledged cable channel nation wide. Smile

Regarding their new slogan "They said it couldn't be done. We proved them wrong!"... well, we'll wait and see if they actually turn a profit out of all this, because, as it stands, I imagine they're bleeding money out of the wahoo, and, if it's basic cable for now, it won't be for long.

-_- I have Time Warner. I really hope they convert to all companies soon. This will either flop, or become a hit. No one was thinking Cartoon Network would last long when it first came out, and now they're able to support spinoff channels. I'm not worried about content, they have plenty of that. It'd be really nice though if they do manage to make it a nationwide channel, and then have those releases that they're releasing at the same time in Japan be aired on the channel.

Do you think they can do this? I'm sure that new series can be subbed pretty quickly, but will a commercial channel in the US take the chance of having a large amount of subbed programming?
