 Moribito's on Adult Swim?? Not like I actually have a TV or ever watch dubs, but AWESOME!! It's a great series that's on my list of things to buy when I have the money. I strongly recommend it, even if the dub is terrible (is it?), it's a great story, great art, and a great heroine without the usual fanservice to titillate adolescent male minds. (I'm looking at you, well, every anime ever... but especially TTGL!) |

The dub of Moribito is good. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I have no complaints with it.
Also, about the fan service thing in general. Normally, I think fan service is completely unnecessary and often harms a show more than it adds any value to it, but it's different in Gurren Lagann's case. In that show, fan service is used mostly as a comedic device; in other words, it's more of a parody of fan service than anything else. |

Nah ... the column will go up early.
Wasn't enthralled (nor terribly put-off) by Moribito. Could've done without the termendous number of artifacts & such that occurs when HD is shrunk & interlaced, and then de-interlaced and rescaled. Where's that second (hopefully HD) CN channel they threatened to roll out on us when you need it? |
