The Australian delegates for the World Cosplay Summit 2009 has been announced at Animania 2008 in Sydney today (24 August 2008). The team, Love & Peace Movement were selected by a team of judges, including a representative from TV Aichi, from a host of seven finalists. Preliminary heats took place in selected Australian cities in March, April, May, and at Animania yesterday, and the finals took place today. Love & Peace Movement performed as Edward and Alphonse Elric from Full Metal Alchemist.

Katherine Lee and Gabriella Lowgren are the first delegates selected to attend the World Cosplay Summit in 2009, next August. The 2008 summit took place earlier this month, with 12 countries and two teams from Japan attending.
