Now that Anipages blacklisted me, I have to say that I'm really impressed the way they're able to capture the motion of her ascot and skirt, while differentiating the two articles of clothing.

Finally a promising project.
I was looking forward to it for some time - how about a trailer?

In my opinion, the Tokyopop release of Sin-Ichi Hiromoto's STOne is one of the Buried Treasures of North American manga. Even it though anything but cerebral, Hiromoto's Kill Bill style unified pastiche of all his genre favorites (Star Wars, Dune, Hellraiser, Evangelion) made for an inspired mash-up. His exaggerated boldness also makes the Return of the Jedi adaptation something worth tracking down.

What little I've seen of Hell's Angel was working off a fun, cartoonish cute-ugly take on Yasushi Nirasawa's monster-woman designs. It's not something that I'd expect to make to North America, but still, an interesting project to read about.

And there I was thinking it was going to be an anime about a bunch of fat blokes on goth like motorbikes terrorising high school girls. Laughing

Good to know I wasn't the only one who went "The Biker Gang is getting an anime series?".

An anime about the infamous biker gang would have been bad to the bone, but I hear they are much nicer folks now. I think they do even charity work.

Actually, it looks like we may be in the majority. That was my first thought too.

The biker gang is what came to mind first for me as well, though I figured it had to be something different pretty fast. It looks like an interesting idea. Though if it does make it to North America, I think a name change might be an idea (especially considering it honestly isn't that original a title to begin with).

Fine as long as the pain killers keep working.
