That's really the best part about getting orders from places like HLJ and AmiAmi. What you save in those 20-25% discounts you replace with SAL shipping which is like paying Japanese MSRP and getting free shipping. That little bit of rational has kept me going through the awful exchange rate.
My Homura should be here in another week, though I still haven't opened Madoka yet...

To me, this figma in particular looks quite good, even in the non-photoshopped pics.
That being said, I do agree that the figma line has been kinda lacking lately. I wanted to get the robocop figure SO BAD but then I saw the actual shots of the figma and it's very underwhelming. It's a pity cause I really wanted it, now I'll wait for it to be on sale, if possible.
On the other hand, I didn't want to believe that Revoltech Kenshin could look WORSE than those horrible prototype shots but OMG.

Yamaguchi's human characters are very hit or miss. Revy and Dante looked great in the early days, but years later Kenshin was a huge miss and I'm not very forgiving of the unusual exposed joints in Lupin. Alucard wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't so brown. The not-yet-officially announced Edward Elric has some potential judging from the early blurry pictures, that might be one worth getting.

I only paid 40$ at amiami with shipping. yeah I'm cheap and use sal. But I'm in no hurry for figures. I can wait an extra week instead of paying 15 extra dollars.

A week difference? The difference be SAL and EMS for me has been about three weeks. While the time isn't a big deal, I just don't like the idea of my expensive figure being in the hands of postal workers who like to toss around packages like basketballs for longer than they need to be.

Looking forward to whenever mine finally ships. Not that huge on Figmas, but Homura's awesome enough and the figure is well-done. I'm more looking forward to when my pre-orders of Good Smile's Homura, Mami, and Madoka come in, as well as my Kyubey figure.
