I don't think Cowboy Bebop Manga is bad. It makes great reading.

The manga is good, the only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that it was VERY short and most of the adventures the crew goes through you don't even see in the anime itself, except for like two maybe, it has its slice of action and comedy. I haven't read Shooting Star yet, but I've heard it wasn't that great.

I liked it because I compared it to the anime. To me it was some different stories that weren't in the series. It was interesting reading about new adventures. As for Shooting Star, I havn't read that because I've been spending my money on other manga. I probably won't end up buying it.
