"Okay, what's left? Four and a half minutes? Great! More commercials!"

It's a pity they don't have higher standards against these evil and puerile excuses for entertainment. If only everyone would make laws that respect and honor women, the world would be a better place.
Given that Japan is a place that allows Key Visual adaptations, I wouln't bet on it.

right we have learned that you can have a cute girl saying some stupid animal noise for 25 minutes and then die or some other tragic thing 3 times (make it 4 the tag line for their new unreleased game is "Could it possibly be rewritten, that fate of hers?")

The question is, as the awesome FMP/Haurhi fan / semi intrested in that proposed adaptation of that manga guy that I am, do I want to save the girl? Can the world be saved without the chearleader in this case?

I so want the answer to be yes.

I just read through the twelve chapters of Rosario + Vampire II,and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed what I had read. I'm a big fan of the old Jigoku Sensei NUBE,Rocket Princess R,and Shadowlady. This manga reminded me of those times.I love youkai stories ,and this filled the gap.Sure it's cliched, but I'm diggin it.I'm really looking forward to this being animated now.I hope they show more than just the ecchi side of the story.Episode one did kind of suck, but who knows. I imagine partially this is a money thing, that is, uncesnored DVD sales. Also, some channels probably have a special deal for the uncensored stuff so they can use that as a selling point to boost ratings. On the whole, I whould say that Japan doesn't really censor as much as other countries but it does seem that some things lately have been censored some for whatever reason.

I wouln't mind that at all, but they realy need to get thier head in the game as far as not making the censorship distracting. I came here to watch a show, not to see how much of it you can cover up with the CensorTroll

My guess is that part of that is to call attention TO the censorship, if indeed uncensored versions are a big DVD sales draw. Someone probably thought they were being clever too -.- The censorship in Strike Witches, for example, I was happier with. Its intelligently subtle.

panties, schmanties... who decides that i can't see a panty shot but i can see dead zombies with limbs ripped off, and creatures getting chopped in half, and people being executed in worse ways than even freddy krueger could ever imagine. oh our "wholesome" audience that is too familiar with decapitation, blood flying from katana slicing, bullet holes in heads, and demon possessions that rival the exorcist movies can't even see some girls in panties? well take me away in the paddy wagon anime police for trying to see some guy on guy action in an anime! this isnt like the censored and unshown pokemon episodes that featured james as transgendered or pistols being pointed at ash ketchums head. those were designed for a children's viewership in mind and im fine if they censor that type of stuff, but clearly r+v is not for kids and im not a child. don't censor anything that includes panties for cryin out loud. thats so weak. and just for the record im not a proponent for panties because i get gratification out of seeing them im a guy and i like guys. im just saying don't edit what im to view! next thing you know they won't be showing anything that features any type of girl/girl guy/guy because of the sexual implications on the "moral" fiber of society... grow up anime police. what's next? i fear...

I don't want to offend you or anything, but the "don't like it, don't watch it" argument does not really count here. Remember there are parents who actually care for what their children see, and they don't like and don't watch it...but they have a right to tell their kids what to watch and what not to watch (to a certain degree). Now imagine you are working 10km away when this show airs. How would you check if your kid watches the show? Right, you can't. And that's exactly why it's being censored.

Edit: I don't even like censorship, even if it may seem that way. But while being totally (well, nearly) opposed to such measures, I can understand why they are still applied.
I'm surprised this would even air at times way before the watershed. This is obviously after midnight programming. I have to admit though the little bat covering up the panty shots is cute enough to be acceptable, but I have to ask just what were they thinking when positioning this. Rolling Eyes

I am surprised that is even considered news. Censorship happens on daily basis especially when it aired on TV. I am also sure that if this show get licensed you can enjoy an uncensored version when you want when you buy the cds. Censorship is a necessary evil when an anime airs on TV. It is often not by the choice of the station, they are usually simply following law.

What do you guys think of shows that are released with pre-built in censorship such as Sayonara Sensei?

It'll be armageddon as we know it if it happens.I never like censors and never will.If it was me,it wouldn't exist whatsoever.

While I do find censorship detestable, at least its "clever" censorship, and is less offensive. The show is watchable still (as watchable as it ever was), at least. It is interesting that revealing shots of women are more "offensive" than violence, though its not entirely surprising. As human beings, we tend to be a little touchy about the human body and, especially it seems, the female form.
