What a great idea! MTV putting it's spin on Japanese culture and the wackiness that inherently comes with that.
The fish doesn't exactly stick to the rice.
Hey-o! Wow, slow down with the humor! I've got a stitch in my side! I need to settle myself down after this great news of a corporate shill vomiting all over a personal interest of mine, and I'm gonna go watch G4TechTV... OH GOD! |

| Oh, come on, you must admit it's a funny idea with some potential. We'll see how it goes. |

Wow! What a great opportunity for MTV to make a slew of cliched jabs at Japanese society. I'm sure it'll make a killing in the ratings for its 4 week run.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I used to actually enjoy watching animation on MTV, back when the channel actually supported it heavily. But it is supposed to be Music Television after all, right? I'm sure this series will eventually find a home next to Spike TV's Most Extreme Challenge.

| Well, it'll be intresting to see how much stuff about the life of seiyuu and Japanese culture they get right. I hope the animation won't be horrible. Kind of a shame they didn't try to have it animated by an actual studio in Japan. I may watch a few episodes if I'm near the tv when it starts airing. |

Oh, come now, 'tis not the first time that MTV has milked the Japanese for laughs.
Worth watching just for the shots of Tom in the model airport alone, though my brother liked the bits with the snow monkeys best. |

Yeah, it'll get cancelled after one season. Just like recent MTV gems such as....
Spiderman
3-South
Clone High
Downtown
Spy Groove
underGRADS
...basically any new animated show succeeding Celebrity Deathmatch. |

My good friend Casey sums it up best with a picture of himself.

Casey and his love for MTV.

If I had cable I might have watched it. Ah well, it can't be any worse than a Toonami Dub.
.... Or can it?! |

This will be quite interesting and I will enjoy it whether it will be good or bad (more so if it's bad, very bad). It looks like America has started to fight back in the culture wars. |

The idea seems good. I'm a little worried that this series will only last one season. Viewers are very fickle. I have a few friends who animated Celebrety Deathmatch, Daria, Spygroove. Ever since MTV closed their animation department in NYC I don't watch MTV anymore. I mostly watch Cartoon Network and Nick.
Time will tell how this series will do.

If Viacom has any smarts (they do own MTV, right?) they'll make so that it actually will last one season. I would find it slightly amusing if they just steamroll 13 weekly episodes at us like they do in Japan. They can call it an OVA.
For those of you who enjoyed Otaku no Video and Comic Party, this should be no different, except it's made in the USA (hahaha) and it looks at the product instead of the consumers. |

| Note to MTV: Reality shows and shows about people getting into the entertainment industry suck and are passe. Play some music again! |
