As a reviewer's advice: After having watched the entire season, I'd advise anyone interested in Hell Girl is to watch volumes 3, 5, and 6, and skip the rest. The only thing missing from such a drastic edit is a proper introduction for Tsugumi and Hajime Shibata, but the missing bits of characterization are ultimately unnecessary to appreciate the larger picture. Despite the high note that the series ends on, it is hard to find much praise for a series where the best way to watch it is to ignore more than half of it. Also, for those not aware, Cartoon Network has been having a turnover in management and direction, including their own produced shows. So expect quite a few changes for awhile. |

| We're watching Hell Girl on IFC, so we don't really have a choice on skipping anything.
What's that about a CN management turnover? Do you have an external link of any sort I could read and show to others? It could explain some things. |

Twice the Geass with none of the Moribito ... ahhhh, what a wonderful dream. Though with my luck, the show would (out of nowehere) suddenly turn interesting right before they yanked it. After watching the second episode of Hell Girl, the temptation is to just turn off the pass. No matter how snooze-festing it was/is, too many episodes will make me want to watch to the end just for the sake of it. Fairly disappointing I didn't miss any introductions by not catching episode 1. I liked the first Naruto movie much more than the second. Felt better to not have him playing off yet another young angsty co-star. Running off to drown your sorrows at the bar may not be the best way to resolve them, but what a refreshing change of pace. |

Just stuffs I've been hearing in the grapevine from their stable of animators/creators. |

| Just got done watching Gurren Lagaan and actually enjoyed it. Especially with the fact that when watching it closed captioned, it went in order of mentioning some of the prisoners as "Prisoner 20-A", "Prisoner 20-B" and so forth. I don't know why but I thought that was hilarious.
Kind of reminds me of the closed captioning that was done quite some time ago for Dirty Pair Flash on Showtime Beyond where they emphasized that certain sounds were continuing by adding "!'s" at the end of each sound after about 10-15 seconds. |
