| LMAO! What are the oddds? I'm actually just watching this with a bunch of friends in anime club. Its pretty interesting, IDK I guess live action would for it. Still what are the odds? |

Well, it's popular, it's down to earth...no big deal. Definitely more suitable for a live action than, say, Death Note.
I'm not digging the main lead though. |

Nobuyuki Fukumoto's works are actually pretty popular in Japan. Both Akagi and Kaiji are his most well known works. They both had successful TV series (with the latter getting a second season in the Spring), and had plenty of amusement parlor games made in their license.
Personally, I really loved the Kaiji TV series. Very underrated show with fantastic direction and faithfulness to Fukumoto's original manga. So, I am eager to see what they'll do for the live action movie. I just don't expect them to wear fake noses though...

I didn't like the anime at first, but when it got to the eCard arc, it completely won me over! I'm looking forward to this!!  |

I would laugh so hard if that happened.
But I doubt it. They didn't do that for the live action Akagi movie so it's highly unlikely they'll do it for the live action Kaiji movie. |
