Technically this isn't their first album... Clicked Singles Best was released back in 2001.

Tofu this time. Hm, looks like the '01 one was Sony.

EDIT: Btw, Tofu is Sony Music Japan's US arm, so if they're a Sony artist in Japan, it's almost certain any US releases would come from Tofu.

Okay, so "Clicked Singles Best 13" was available through Sony Music Imports. I'm not sure how their label fits into the whole scheme of things, so I'll stick with the "first" description for now.

That page isn't a page of their releases, just a list of CD's getting promoted.

I'll have to check for sure which label it was when I get home, but the L'Arc CD was definitely released here. There was even a street team for it.

(Why can't you buy CDs through sonymusicimports.com? That's...odd.)

Minor note, the "Hyde-less" version of Ready Steady Go!! isn't exactly a US exclusive. It's on the Ready Steady Go!! single, along with "Kenless," "Tetsuless," and "Yukihiroless" versions.

Well, I can say I'm rather pleased about this. I've enjoyed their music for years now. I wasn't aware they had had a prior release either. All I can say now is:

Damn you! Damn you Tofu records for shrinking my wallet. Smile

Maybe it's a different version?

Hmmm, this is... interesting. Though, I would call this attempt number three, because Spirit Dreams Inside... from what I know, WAS released in the United States.

The only bad thing is that Tofu Records sucks at advertising. Their only targeted audience is the anime and game fan. So basically, a national hit with Laruku with either hit with the anime fans (which would probably make sense since Laruku did do theme songs for several well known animes) or be another blow for them.

Hopefully, they will make an attempt to do something 'different' with them.

... and hopefully it'll come with the DVD like the 1st pressing Japanese release did x_x

Its just an instrumental. Anything hydeless is an instrumental. Its some 'cool' way to say that hyde isn't singing.

I think the advertising/distribution problems can be linked to Tofu choosing RED. They handle the big-time acts, and I don't think they know how to promote niche stuff like JPop.

No signs of a L'Arc DVD release.

What do you mean? I thought Tofu strictly handled Jpop/Jrock acts.

Hmm... oh well, I hope the price is reasonable. Though, it would have been cool if it was like the CD/DVD release.

Sorry, that was pretty unclear. I meant that RED Distribution has dropped the ball. They have all the connections to put Tofu CDs in major music retailers, but obviously they haven't, either becuase they're too busy with other deals or (more likely, I think), they don't know how to handle JPop releases.

Ah, I see now. Very Happy Thanks.

Though, maybe they see that there's not much... interest in it, thus they're holding back on going full force?
