It's not as popular as it used to be, but it always at least makes the top ten for the first (and sometimes second) week.
Additionally this is the second to last volume. I wouldn't be surprised to see volume fifty-six (the last volume, which comes out in January), do a lot better than other recent volumes. |

as am I, I thoroughly enjoy the Gantz manga, and surprised that some of the Japanese public do as well. |
