Hopefully that won't be the overall trend. Less projects per year might end up meaning less botched endings. Then again, Strike Witches was big for them this year, so maybe Gonzo'll just start honing in on that segment of the fanbase. In the short term I'll be happy so long as Sword of Uruk airs.
On a side note: oh it's Gonzo who is producing Alive. Why I was thinking KyoAni I'll never know  |

| This is good news. Gonzo seems motivated to redeem itself. It's policeis are getting better. Less shows per year might mean better shows. I mean, look at R+V 2. The first season was CRAP but the second one is funnier, better animated, and a whole lot better to look at. You go, new Gonzo management!!! GO GO GO!!!!! |

Would this have anything to do with their association with Crunchyroll? Perhaps they're not making the money they thought they would off such an endeavor?
If it means higher quality animation with less shows on the block, so be it. I like my eye candy pretty, thank you! |

| With the economy the way it is, is it no wonder that they have to scale back? 4 productions may be a reasonable goal if those 4 can bring in the dough. |

Cameltoe Witches was the first GONZO DVD to go over 10,000 copies since Vandread. Personally, I think they just shot themselves in the foot giving Druaga a sequel and not the boobie-loving Yoshika-chan.
And Afro Samura sells like hotcakes over here. Seriously, I'd be shocked if it wasn't making more money than every GONZO title released this year. |

Gonzo has less chances of screwing up the ending of a series if it has 2 seasons. |

Whyyy a Druaga sequel?
I used to generally really like GONZO works but I do kind of feel that the more they do, the worse they are. This could be good. Sad to see the economy taking its turn on the industry though.

I imagine that doing business with Crunchyroll could only add additional revenue where it wasn't before. It only gives those people who normally wouldn't pay for DVDs to at least buy cheap episodes.[/quote] |

This is horribly bad news in the sense that it means we may not see Strike Witches S2 as soon.

They didn't make Noein. And I doubt we'll even see a Gankutsuou or Last Exile again. Hell, they even managed to kinda ruin Last Exile's ending somehow, and also with some stupid antics in Gankutsuou toward the ends as well. |
