This is great news. I have heard of the manga of this, and it sounds great. I wish I chould read the manga, however. [Nope! Sorry, not on ANN.]

Genshiken is probabely the most realistic portrayal of otaku subculture out there. I find it odd to call it a parody, because people might think it is as over the top as Otanu No Video. In GS, they really delve into problems Japanese fans face in everyday life, like the fear of being beat up when punks find out they are otaku and are on their way to a shop (i.e. they're loaded).
