Let's hope they set a trend... I love the low price point of American published manga, but the reproduction quality is often horribly bad. Of course, I'd rather see publishers invest more money in accurate translations (both of these points apply heavily to Tokyopop, who did such an eye-bleedingly bad release of Comic Party).

It's hard for me to look at the U.S. published manga as a low price point, when original tankoubon volumes sell for an equivalent of $4-5 each in Japan.

Ah well... I'm always pleased when I see efforts to provide a higher quality product.

I wonder if the new improve print quality, how most of us can really see an improvement or it'll just be the same. I mean I'm perfectly happy with most of my manga from Tokyopop, Viz and Darkhorse.
