No Shakespeare didn't have male actors wear an outfit that didn't exist at the time. If this is going to a battle of obtuse questions then I can play along and provide obtuse answers.

traditional shakespearean theatre is what came to my mind too when i read this article.

Call me when they get female actors for the female characters next time because I know that I am not a part of the target audience here. Really, this is too ridiculously hilarious to think about.

The best part is that the actors playing the male roles generally look more feminine than those playing the females. Very Happy
