Selfishness is power!
Yeah, if that doesn't make me want to get this game, nothing will xD
Glad to see Chrono Trigger making the move to the DS. Even though its more or less a direct port, its nice to have a solid RPG in portable form. It'll help while away the hours, I'm sure.
Dragon Ball Origins impresses me a lot, if nothing more than for the story choice and how it is executed. I'm sure the game is fun too. Bet its going to sell like duck poop though. Dragonball doesn't get any respect xD especially in videogames when people whould rather have a new Dragonball Z fighter, apparently.
Sword of the Berserk was pretty awesome. I still need to buy it. I remember renting it and getting stuck a little, but most of it was very easy. Wasn't there a Record of the Lodoss War game on Dreamcast too? xD |

Seeing Chrono Trigger on the DS makes me want a DS...
I still have my original cartridge for the SNES game. Makes me also want to dust it off and go play it right now...

Sword of the Berserk was the reason I bought a Dreamcast as well.I had seen pics and pieces of artwork of Guts throughout the 90's but it didn't click that they were the same until the game hit.It also made me pursue all of Susumu Hirasawa's albums.
I would say I remember them, but I have them all right here. |

My World My Way, looks pretty interesting. Wow, don't think I've heard a title like this. Definitely keeping my eye on this. That guy looks like 'Axel' from 'KH2'. I wonder...
I give Atlus much cred for bringing over some of these interesting niche titles. The were the first to bring over 'Rhapsody' before Nippon Ichi established a branch for the US. The idea of a princess saving her man...now that was original. Now we got another princess game only this time she's out to make folks RECOGNIZE B*ATCHES!! The premise reminds me of 'Mint' from 'Threads of Fate' aka 'Dewprism'. Now SHE was bratty and SELFISH. "World Domination BABY!!" She was on a quest to make the world hers. Yep, who could say her scenario wasn't fun?
'Blood of Bahamut' looks interesting. Yeah, looks like they swiped a little 'SOtC'. But it does look interesting. And I'll admit the teaser site illustration blew my mind. I wonder who did it. I'd love to have a poster of that. Whoa. Yeah, countdown 4 days just to tell you "look a new game that's not coming out until 2009!"
Keeping my eye on these 2. |

Hmm, buying Cooking Mama just to irk PETA really does sound like a good use of my money.
My boyfriend the other day called me upstairs to come see something 'really cool' The 'really cool' something turned out to be PETA's mockery of Cooking Mama. I then proceeded to storm around the house, cursing PETA's name with all the breath I could muster. If they've got the time and money to worry about a video game that cooks imaginary meat, then they should be using that time and money to actually help animals, not kill them and toss them into dumpsters.
Well, that's that. I'm getting my copy of Cooking Mama, and I'm gonna cook me some delicious, imaginary MEAT!
Oh yeah, and the DS version of Chrono Trigger, as I've never actually played it. |

Thats ok, I didn't realize the game was based on Berserk until after I had seen the Anime, many many years later. |

| After having finished Chrono Trigger...for the first time, I've realized why I stopped caring for the genre: Tetsuya Nomura killed RPGs for me, with it's jPop sentiments and Shibuya fashion choises. Ergh... |

Ergh... | Yeah,Square RPG's will never be the same, man.Tetsuya's direction, split the fandom imo.
The new generation apparently loves bishonen (wearing the latest belts and zippers),mediocre storylines and high budget eye-candy,while somewhat ignoring innovative gameplay and re-playability.Oh well.
No thanks.
Personally,I've collected or played, most every game from Square,
searching for that next great Final Fantasy,Seiken Densetsu,Front Mission,SAGA,or special works to no avail. No avail from Nomura's era anyway.I can only hope Sakaguchi's Mistwalker studio gets cracking on some masterpieces,so we have something else to look forward to. |
