I think they extended some stuff like that car incident in the latest episode. Overall, great coordination and episode though. We'll get see Hisoka in action again. Killua's Godspeed was also a pleasant sight to see. But seriously, Illumi's yandere face....
I'm going to have trouble sleeping tonight.

Chairman candidates announced.
Leorio actually got nominated after punching Ging, sweet!
That clip sure went viral LOL
Killua's Alluka connections chart summed up things.
So family members are off limits for killing.
Since they don't consider Alluka as a person, but as a thing, she's not family.
Damn, they are ruthless and cruel...
Wow, Illumi wasn't kidding about the family off limits thing.
Hisoka sure pushed his buttons on purpose.
Killua is amazing with Alluka.
Guess he's the only one who loves her.
Butlers vs Hisoka. Dangerous!

This will most likely be my biggest disappointment in anime if it ends soon.

I think there's still going to be a good number of additional episodes in this arc. I am expecting at least a dozen more.

Man, I wasn't able to watch any HxH for the last few weeks so I only just now got caught up. I've been a fan of HxH for nearly a decade by this point, but haven't kept up with the manga so I've had absolutely zero exposure to this part of the story. (I stopped about halfway through the Chimera Ant arc.) While the ending to the Chimera Ant arc was still good, I noticed my enjoyment waning a bit due to just hoooowww muuuuccchhh they were dragging it out. (No doubt to stretch the episode count a little further.) So, I was starting to wonder if HxH was just running out of steam (in concurrence with its author). But man, the Election Arc so far encapsulates everything I've loved about the series thus-far and has me super pumped for the series again.
It's a shame the series will likely be ending soon, but I guess I should be glad for what a great run it's had. I've enjoyed HxH way more than most anime/manga, and that alone is enough reason to be happy. We can keep hoping that Togashi will get back to regularly producing it again, but seeing as just how much I actually enjoy it - rather, how good I find it - I suppose it really is best if he only works on it when he feels inspired to do so, rather than produce a higher quantity of a lower quality work. Thanks for the consistent A-Game, Togashi, even if it's in little, distant chunks.

Togashi is publishing new chapters of the manga, right now. Not at a fast enough rate for there to be any chance of the current arc being animated, but they are coming out. (Though admittedly he's had a couple single-week hiatuses since he started. People are wondering if he's switching to the Oda method of a bunch of little hiatuses instead of big long ones.)

Yeah, I know he's working on it again at the moment. I'm just not incredibly trusting that it'll continue for the long run (hence my use of "regularly"). I mean... when I stopped reading the manga, in the Chimera Ant arc, that was like...5-6 years ago?
But, if the new content maintains the classic HxH quality(as the election arc definitely has), I'm fine with only sparse little bits here and there. I'd rather have a little of something very good than a lot of something mediocre.
EDIT:
Oh, but I've gotta say... Did he REALLY name a villain after Paris Hilton? That's just...kind of wow. Out of left field there.

The level of intricacy, is, as always, amazing.
The difficulties with the current affairs are partly to this, too:
1) lots of bureaucratic stuff that is not as exciting as other parts of the story;
2) many new characters-people become massively mutated into ridiculous creatures; even if it is "out of respect", it is really hard to buy it;
3) (in manga now) tens of new characters loaded on readers without anyone among them having time to become interesting for readers;
4) (in manga always) it is so incredibly wordy that it takes some effort to read and keep up with all the convoluted things that are described there.

Ah, watching Hisoka fighting again is so refreshing. His partner in crime Illumi isn't doing bad either with his tricks. Did I spot a talking bike this episode? Oh wait, it's that butler. I really like how creative this arc is getting right now (:

Hisoka vs Butler!
I always enjoy watching Hisoka fight.
His powers are cool & always interesting.
That grandma butler sure is full of surprises.
Those butlers sure are resourceful.
Killua finally spilled the beans to Gotoh.
Illumi isn't quitting his plan.
Using innocent people as a zombie army, scary!
Killua is determined to overcome every obstacle, even his own brother.
Damn, he must love Alluka & Gon a whole lot!
Hunter backup is on the way as well.
This could turn out to be a pretty big fight.
Or course some used it as a chance to promote themselves.

Free Chrollo. Soon, it shall be very soon.
EDIT: If you could be a Hunter what type would you be and why?
I'd be a music Hunter because it's something I'm engrossed in and finding rare musical pieces with supernatural or ungodly effects on people would be very entertaining to say the least.

Also, what Nen ability, type would you want and why?
I'd definitely be a specialist, I want an ability that cannot be mimicked or copied in any way. (Except by another specialist, lol) For the ability I'd want to be able to inject memories of long-lasting friendship, strong bonds into my opponent. To where they would have known me their entire lives and have been great friends with myself, saved their lives on several occasions, that way they wouldn't hurt me and I could use them as puppets if necessary to achieve some end.
Of course something like this would have several restrictions, I'd say about 3 tough ones.

Episode 143:
Pretty decent episode. We see a bit of an emotional Killua as he confronts his brother and Tsubone. Pariston's face looked a bit creepy in this episode though. Also, that ending was just as chilling...

Those elections for chairman are something I'm not too interested in.
It's not like I need to know everything about the process.
Totally not into politics of things.
Pariston is so annoying.
Hope he doesn't win.
Anyone else is a better choice.
That grandma butler is pretty cool.
It was Killua's time to fight.
Illumi figured out his plan and caught up to him.
Luckily so did Killua's butlers..
That Hisoka sure is a weird one.
Hmmm... Killua proved a point to Illumi.
At least he got him off his back for a while.
So Hisoka is the bad one? Or is it Illumi?
