Figured there'd be more posts over this. It's a shame the industry's becoming increasingly homogenized nowadays. Hope the employees are still able to find work. Does this affect Synch Point, too?

Their website hasn't been updated in over a year, the AnimeGamers website is gone as well as the actual store (and me with over 100 points I was never able to use, what a shame). Although sad news, I was kind of expecting it...

I always did like Broccoli, although they have been really in the dark for awhile now. I do wonder what will happen to the series they have now like My Dearest Devil Princess and Honoka Level Up! *sigh* I hate it when I can't finish a series.

Goodbye Broccoli Crying or Very sad

While thing's appear to be looking up,we always get that one bit of bad news, usually in the form of an Anime company dropping out of the states or just dropping out all together. In any case, this is sad news, but, nothing to buy black suits and dresses over. Cool

I guess this puts a few good manga series out in the cold, huh. Broccoli was a nice little company, I always enjoyed their booth at conventions. They will be missed. Sad

Sorry to see Broccoli go. I am not surprised. Their manga didn't interest me at all. They were too niche. They didn't know what consumers wanted unlike VIZ. VIZ is a powerhouse that can afford to release different genre of manga. TokyoPop was more into OEL manga at least in my opinion. The only TokyoPop manga that I bought were GTO, Chobits, and initial D.

Oh rats.

I really really like Broccoli. I actually own all of Galaxy Angel (with special covers), Galaxy Angel Beta (didn't get around to sending the forms for the special covers! Sad), and Galaxy Angel II 1-2 (need to go grab 3 before it's gone forever)

Really tragic. They were very consistent in the quality of their works...good translation, good print quality, great extras. You could tell they're a group who put effort into their work.
