Beck as in the real-life artist Beck, who shares the name of the Beck from the book.
It makes one wonder, does Beck read Beck?

What a minute! I confused...
So the remix of Beck (the singer) is being added to the manga? |

| It makes me wonder if (Jeff) Beck listens to Beck and watches Beck. Wouldn't *that* be cool if Beck listened to Beck, read Beck, bought the Beck OST? |

I figure Beck knows about "BECK". After all they needed his permission to use his likeness in Volume 2 of the manga.
The original "Go It Alone" is awesome (as is the whole "Guero" album; better than "Odelay" in my opinion). Jack White plays bass in it. I wonder if his riff will be in the remix. Maybe Beck will do something with the Mongolian Chop Squad (or maybe even Beat Crusaders) in the near future. With Beck, anything's possible. |

Beck: Mongolion Chop Squad Manga is awesome. Go read this book from tokyopop!!!
anything to get this book to sell is good so it will come out more frequently. i have no idea why a "Girls Bravo" which is craptastic can sell well but a universally loved manga like Beck can't. |

Erm...I'm confused.
I just got into Beck the manga and it is absolutely awesome indeed. When I realized the next volume would be as late as June I wept and cried and went into depression (no, not really, just an exaggeration) because I never used scanlations before and don't intend to start now and yet the compelling story is demanding to continue...
Anyway, so...are we talking about buying the manga and get a code to download Beck the musician's music sample? Or is it the anime? Or some other Beck?

Yes.
If you really dig the manga, there's also a 26-episode anime series from a year or so ago. I really like it, although the story has some small differences from the manga. It's currently unlicesned, so you'd have to do some digging for it... |

| Would've liked to have seen an OST released with the manga (like the German release, iirc), but you can't lose with Beck. All three them of them. |

This seems so unusual yet somehow inevitable, although they share the same names and are both about music, since I'm assuming Beck's music is a lot different from the stuff in the anime (even though it's being released with the manga). I wonder if one influenced the other. I'd really like to know how each of them were named Beck and how they came to do a dual-release like this. Hopefully this won't lead to further confusion regarding the two, though.
Anyway, Beck is quite possibly my favorite anime, it rocks (no pun intended). And Maho is hot. |
