Something to keep an eye on...
Earlier today, RightStuf.com has removed the listing for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex DVD Set (Hyb) (Anime Legends). Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig DVD Set (Hyb) (Anime Legends) is still listed on the site. EDIT: the product code for Season 1 apparently changed from me25268 to zmg00145 Here is the rest of the franchise round-up: - Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the 2.0 (DVD & Blu-ray) are still in-print. - Ghost in the Shell: Innocence is OOP and currently not licensed (previous license holder is Bandai Entertainment). - The compilation OVAs of The Laughing Man and Individual Eleven (DVD & Blu-ray) are still in-print. - Solid State Society (DVD & Blu-ray) is still in-print. With Manga Entertainment letting series go OOP and not releasing any anime, will this franchise (eventually) follow suit? It will definitely be interesting how this play out. |

So it was a product code issue after all (it seems to be anyways). They changed it up and probably caused the initial de-listing.

No longer listed @ TRSI... | Disgaea that was de-listed before, but it did get re-listed a short while back. It's not 100% clear if any of the following will get re-listed again @ TRSI.

May I briefly endorse Noein while it's still available and only $20? Of course, I am also a scifi junkie, but I like how the kids act like kids and not mini adults. I think it spent enough time being slice of life with the kids to appease people not as big into scifi (yeah, the one lady's theoretical physics talks are sure to annoy a lot of people, I don't understand them, but they didn't annoy me too much). Also, Yuu is in the tourney, so now's a good excuse, right?
Oh and the director is Kazuki Akane, who did Escaflowne and Birdy the Mighty: Decode, so there's that to try and convince you. |

Is there anywhere I could access certain episodes of Eureka Seven? I've missed the last several on Toonami, and yeah...I'd like to catch up. I heard series like this would be considered legal gray area in America now though?
I really wish CR could get its license of the series back, it'd be so much simpler. |

Is Genshiken (Seasons 1 & 2 + OVAs) the next one to go OOP?
The 2011 Seasons 1 & 2 + OVAs Collection [STACKpak] has a very low counter @ TRSI now. It's still on sale at Amazon.com for $29.93.
EDIT: More FUNimation S.A.V.E. releases with counters @ TRSI...

*sigh* I really didn't want to spend any money on anime this week, but.... I'll be DAMNED if I'm gonna let Genshiken go out of print before I get a chance to own it!!
Too bad it's the stackpack release. Anybody know of a good place to buy replacement cases? |
