I guess I only really notice what I care about, so I only saw three to remove. Hayate the Combat Butler, Azumanga Daioh, and Strawberry Marshmallow. And I don't think Sony has ever let Paprika go out of print, still readily available at bargain prices.

I guess there might be a few to add

It has been a while since WTK updated this thread. Lots of changes were made last year and for the first month of 2016. Think we could get an update on the list when you have the time WTK?

On my list of things to do. I will try to get it updated soon (maybe before February).

EDIT: almost done (will be done before February).

OOP list is finally updated. Please let me know if there any additions/corrections.

---

Reminder:
- Out of print titles doesn't automatically equate to license expiring! Sometimes re-stocking take time especially if it's close to the holiday season.
- Streaming titles expiring doesn't automatically equate to home video license expiring!

Notes:
- Titles from Aniplex (Japan): it may be a good idea to pick up catalog/older titles, they may have higher probability of going OOP
- Aniplex of America: Would AoA re-release Fate/Zero BD in the near future (1st set is OOP) sometime in 2016?
- Funimation: expect more catalog series (Aniplex or not) to go OOP especially the titles from the Sojitz deal
- Sentai Filmworks: Since the last update in March 2015, titles like Eyeshield 21, Ghost Sweeper Mikami, and Gintama were restocked. More restocking (per inquiry with S23) will be happening soon with titles like Guin Saga, Hell Girl: Two Mirrors, Hell Girl: Three Vessels, La corda d'oro: Primo Passo, Tears to Tiara, and Xam'd: Lost Memories.
- Viz Media: Honey & Clover & NANA may be going away (select sets OOP), but it's still streaming. Kekkaishi is heading OOP (no longer treaming as well). I would say the next catalog title watch out for is Buso Renkin.

I won't be removing Gunbuster from the list. It's still unlicensed. The May release is Gunbuster the Movie (remix) and not Gunbuster (OVA). It's also from Maiden Japan and not Sentai Filmworks.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa Streaming/Home Video Rights To Expire—Binge and Buy Before This Classic is Gone for Good!
Posted by Lauren on 02/01/2016 at 8:16pm

Fullmetal Alchemist is, of course, one of THE most legendary anime of all time—and for good reason. Combining alchemical action, great humor, and a moving, truly universal story of loss, redemption and what it means to be human, the adventures of the Elric brothers have resonated with fans all over the world for over a decade. We laughed with them, we cried with them, but alas, all good things must come to an end.

We’ve received an outpouring of fan feedback asking for Funimation to let you know when titles are expiring from our home video and streaming catalog, so we are announcing today that Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa will be expiring soon. Funimation licenses these rights for a limited time, after which they revert to the original Japanese license holder. After these dates, these titles will be removed from our streaming service on Funimation.com, and we will not be reprinting any more home video products.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: expires March 31, 2016
Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa: expires March 31, 2016

What does this mean for you? If you want to keep this classic series and all of its installments in your collection permanently, be sure to buy your copies NOW before they’re gone for good. Out-of-print anime can go up in price significantly on the secondary market, with some titles going up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars, so lock in your collection at their current retail prices now.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Collections
Collection One Blu-ray
Collection One DVD
Collection Two Blu-ray
Collection Two DVD

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood broadcast 6 years after the original, Brotherhood was noteworthy for retelling the tale of Fullmetal Alchemist from the beginning, now faithfully adapting the entire story of Hiromu Arakawa’s legendary manga series.

Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa
Get the Movie Blu-ray today!

Conqueror of Shamballa follows up the events of the hit original series in a fascinating alternate universe that closely resembles our own. Revisiting many of the themes and conflicts of the original series, the film explores what happens to Ed and Al as two brothers separated by time and space but united by so much in the past.

For many years, we’ve been extremely honored and enjoyed working closely with Aniplex to bring this iconic anime franchise to you, so thank you for your support.

I was pretty sure they took it down for streaming. Was it a mistake that they took it down? I guess they put it back up? I also thought Shawnee said that S2 was going OOP and to buy now if you were interested. I guess we'll see soon enough how much stock is on hand and how long the streaming will be up.

-As always thanks for providing the community with info WTK. It is appreciated.

Sadly, I think most of us saw the lost of rights to FMA - whether some or all of it - coming from a mile away. x.x All I can do is hope that the rest of taxes come in soon so I can get the rest of the series. I have the first two parts on DVD, but I might upgrade to the Blu-Ray. Don't know yet; guess whatever I can get my hands quick and cheap on will be better than nothing!

I see the Ranma 1/2 movies & OVA's on the list under Viz... I thought, now that they finished Ranma 1/2 TV on Blu-ray, that Viz was going to do the movies & OVA's on BD also... or am I mistaken?

Also hope Viz decides to throw us Moonies a bone & do the 3 SM Movies (R, S, SuperS) as a box set when they're ready to release them to BD...

It's not announced. It may hinge on how good the TV series is selling and/or material availability.
