One can only hope, naively of course, that its contents page will not resemble the R1 release headlines from two years ago. Failing to mention popular titles not yet available on these shores could have an alienating effect.

It sounds suspiciously like PiQ, or even Impact but with more emphasis on the J-culture.

If they have to copy a defunct American mag, they should copy Anime Insider, that was epic and win. I understand it wasn't doing that badly either at the time it was axed. I don't buy that print media is dead, its just that print media needs to find new niches that the internet doesn't fulfill better, and Anime Insider seemed to do that. I was gutted when it stopped arriving at Borders.

Western movies, video games and comics don't do it for me lol. Maybe I'll buy the first issue and be surprised, but...
