The part that I find hilariously ironic is

You can find better adaptations of street fighter to live action, Then you can something like Akira

"But doing Akira from source material would be unrealistic"

That doesn't stop fans from making nice GI's and hadouken's does it?

The only thing this has at all in relation to Akira is the pill, and the name splash. Video production wise it looks great, horrid execution of source.

I just can't take it seriously with that goofy narration going on the entire time its simply a failed attempt in trying to capture the essence of Akira as whole.

Sorry, everyone. But, this isn't an Akira fan trailer. It's actually a shorted version of Fabien Dubois's music video (link below).

It just looks like his music was edited/shorted down and pasted from English voice and the Akira logo in it. While it's interesting, it looks like Dubois's music video was appropriated to create this video.

The link you posted is not a music video. It is a montage of that person's work, like a video resume. The last part is indeed a trailer for something Akira-like.

Well Either way that video doesn't really provide much to use except for the fact that CGI will more definitely be used for all the special powers the characters will have.... whcih was to be expected. But still nice to see a fan put out a good HD video :3

I'm convinced on paper that Akira in live action could be fantastic, but I've yet to see any tangible proof of this.

Yeah, the narration for this thing is pretty horrible. Doesn't even fit with Akira's story.
