| 360 theatres and none in Canada. Typical. Guess Geoff and I won't be seeing it after all. . . |

The Death Note live-action films and the Bleach movie were run in my city. Let's hope that Stranger is coming as well.
*checks list of theaters*
YES! I am so going to be seeing this come February. Not the greatest movie in the world, but boy, is it a feast for the eyes or what? |

The problem with these Fathom Events digital movie theater broadcasts of anime is that they're basically playing a DVD-quality copy of the anime on a giant movie theater screen. That's a big letdown since the anime titles which Fathom Events runs are theatrical movies. I was hoping they'd use a film print or at the very least a Blu-Ray from which to digitally broadcast, but the current setup they go with doesn't look good. Plus, there have been times where the volume is so loud to the point where it's distorted. On top of that it's more expensive than a regular movie ticket!
Unless I hear that they've totally changed their act, I think I'll just stick to the Blu-Ray version of Sword of the Stranger. |

Freakin' sweet! An anime movie....that actually comes to my town. Too bad I've already seen it, then again it's awesome and worth multiple viewings so I'm definitely going. |

I guess my eyes and ears aren't as sharp as yours. I saw the Bleach movie back in June and it seemed fine to me. It was $10 to see Bleach the regular price is $9.25 so I don't see the extra 75 cents as a deal breaker. |

Holy crap, they're actually showing this in Erie...
Never thought I'd see the day where they'd run a limited-run movie here... Specifically it being anime.
Might go check it out, given I've had some interest in this title. |

I was pleasantly surprised to see that as well. Usually the Midwest (excepting Chicago) gets passed over for this sort of thing. |

| That's a lot of theaters. Does Bandai have the inside track on its prospects of being nominated? |
