Wasn't Traci Lords in some sort of kidvid action show? Or was that some other pornstar I'm thinking of? I'm doubting we'll see any top level actors for any DBZ film. More likely Pro Westlers, Porn stars, and some familiar character actors.
Are you thinking of Xuxa? She wasn't a pornstar, but did a spanish language show and had some rather revealing photos out there.

Actually, it was a Portuguese language show - she's Brazilian.

To clarify a lot of stuff-

The movie is still in pre-production/might happen stage. Fox still has the rights and a few months ago put a writer on the project, so while it isn't exactly on the fast track, at this point its still theoretically happening.

Also, disregard a lot of the rumors you've heard, ESPECIALLY about Jackman being Goku and similar things. About a year ago there was this guy who called himself Chainsaw Zombie who claimed to have an informant named Mr. Z who was telling him all this info on the DBZ movie. He built quite a cult of synchophants who seemed to believe every word he wrote and spread it across the internet. This led to false rumors, and at one point an ENTIRELY fake IMDB entry. Obviously, everything this guy was saying was a total lie, but there are still a few rumors (lies) he started that hang around the internet.

As for the DBZ cast having to be Asian, why? It's clearly established that A) The "Earth" that DBZ takes place on is nothing close to our own in any respect and B) The vast majority of the main cast aren't even from Earth.

From what I'm seeing as this "film" develops (or like congeal) the more I have a felling that this "movie" will make Space Mutiny and Prince of Space look good.

Casting porn"stars" in anime remakes for american audiences? Not to mention that DBZ is edited here. Is anyone getting a headache trying to figure out this logic?

Also, are there that few asian actress in hollywood that parts in moves that will be seen by children are given to porn"stars"

*ducks and covers for the bomb this movie will drop*

Yeah. Lets give the angry moms against anime something they could truly and really use. A porn star in a movie based off a show aimed at kids and teens. Hmm. Very smart choice. I wonder what brain child suggested that idea? Better yet who was the idiot that approved even asking her?

I really like Hugh Jackman, which is why I would be upset to see him in a stinker like this movie. Luckily, he's too big of a name for DBZ.

Also, in a fan poll that used to be up at FUni's site, the fans picked Jet Li for Goku and Jackie Chan for Vegeta, even though it should be the other way around. (Although I still think Donnie Yen would make a better Goku than Jackie.)

What do you guys think if they had Robin Shou(Mortal Kombat) play Goku, Jordan Taylor Hanson (Hanson band) play Future Trunks, and Jet Li play Vegita?

Add it Matrix or Storm Riders special effects and cleaver script writing from maybe the guys who did mortal kombat (1 NOT part 2) and maybe it can work out.

What do you think?

LOL, so they're hiring an all white cast to play an all Asian cast. This will be the cheesiest movie ever made. And the Dragon Ball franchise is already dead. Noone gave a crap about GT when it was brought over on CN. The hype machine that gave them the idea for this film was done for anyways. They're beating a dead horse .

Well, not for nuttin' Goku has blonde hair and blue eyes when he becomes a Super-Aryan..eh i meant Saiyan. Wink
And if there's another reason to bash Funi and maybe Bandai,it would be for the plugs, and propaganda of the DBZ hype machine. Just what the world needs, more DBZ games and "lost" episodes. Rolling Eyes hopefully the live action Movie won't come to fruition. there's much better Anime based concepts that would be idea for a Live action movie, DBZ ain't one of them.

Under stain?

Anyway, the post came from her website that she had been approached by a producer for the DBZ movie and she turned it down because she's pregnant. What is there not to understand?

I agree. I still think DBZ is good but I also think there are many other and better animes that could be turned into a live-action movie.

I've always been interested in seeing an American remake of GTO and see how they'd do it. I know that there's already a GTO live-action movie and tv series but I'm just curoius on how an American GTO would look like.
