More color character designs added for July time travel romance anime

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Ichigo Takano's science-fiction romance manga Orange posted a new key visual and several pieces of background concept art. The key visual showcases the scenery in the city of Matsumoto in Nagano prefecture.

The concept art depicts a park and Naho's room. The park concept art is the first image below, and underneath it is an actual image of the park.

The website also revealed color character designs for the characters at age 26 on Friday. The cast includes:

Kana Hanazawa (Durarara!!'s Anri, Psycho-Pass's Akane) as Naho Takamiya

Natsumi Takamori (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls' Miku, Bodacious Space Pirates' Sasha) as Azusa Murasaka

Rika Kinugawa (Hundred's Liddy) as Takako Chino

Seiichirō Yamashita (Haruchika – Haruta & Chika's Keisuke Katagiri) as Kakeru Naruse

Makoto Furukawa (One-Punch Man's Saitama) as Hiroto Suwa

Kazuyuki Okitsu (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Jonathan Joestar) as Saku Hagita

Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the original manga in North America, and it describes the manga's story:

Everyone has regrets in life. So who wouldn't take the chance to change the past if given the opportunity? When sixteen-year-old Takamiya Naho receives a mysterious letter, claiming to be from her twenty-seven-year-old self, her life is suddenly thrown into flux. The letter tells her that a new transfer student by the name of Naruse Kakeru will be joining her class, and to keep her eye on him. But why? Naho must decide what to make of the letter and its cryptic warning, and what it means not only for her future, but for Kakeru's as well.

Hiroshi Hamasaki (Steins;Gate, Terra Formars) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment and Telecom Animation Film, and Yuuko Kakihara (Chihayafuru 2) is writing the scripts. Nobuteru Yuki (The Vision of Escaflowne, Kids on the Slope) is designing the characters. Yukio Nagasaki (Gate, Dragon Ball Z Kai) is serving as the sound director, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Kuromukuro, Monster Musume) is composing the music. The series will premiere this July.
