Naruto Shippuden Narutimate Blazing Smartphone Game Gets English Release

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
iOS, Android game slated for release this year

The official website for Bandai Namco Entertainment's Naruto Shippūden Narutimate Blazing smartphone game has revealed that the game is getting an English release this year under the title Naruto Shippūden Ultimate Ninja Blazing. The game is slated for release this year for iOS and Android devices. Game developer GREE is developing the game, and Bandai Namco Entertainment is the publisher.

Pre-registration for the game is available now. If the game receives 25,000 pre-registered users, all users who pre-registered will receive five "ninja pearls" when the game launches.

The free-to-play "shinobi formation battle" game will feature combat that revolves around the players' position on the screen. Players move characters onscreen, and the characters will then attack any and all enemies within a circular range. If enemies are in the same range as an ally, characters will use a combination attack.

The game will also feature three-player multiplayer, and will also contain cut-in cinematics from the Narutimate Storm (Ultimate Ninja Storm) game series. The game will have in-app purchases available.

Bandai Namco Entertainment had announced the game on May 9.

Bandai Namco Entertainment previously trademarked "Narutimate Blazing" last August, along with "Narutimate Braves" and "Narutimate Wars." In February, Bandai Namco Entertainment filed a similar "Ultimate Ninja Blazing" trademark in Europe.

The "Narutimate" word is used in Japan as a subtitle for video games in the Naruto franchise, such as Narutimate Storm, Narutimate Accel, or Narutimate Hero. The Narutimate Storm series is titled Ultimate Ninja Storm in the West.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released its Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (Naruto Shippūden: Narutimate Storm 4) fighting game in Japan, Europe, and North America in February. The game is the latest installment in the Ultimate Ninja Storm fighting game series. The game series has shipped 15 million copies worldwide.
