Mitsu Murata, Kimeru, more join cast for play running in Tokyo, Osaka in September-October

The official website for the Osomatsu-san on STAGE ~SIX MEN'S SHOW TIME~ stage play adaptation of the Mr. Osomatsu anime series revealed four more cast members in costume on Saturday.

Mitsu Murata as Iyami

Kimeru as Chibita

Ran Sakai as Totoko

Yūya Hara as Hatabō

The play's staff had released pictures of the main cast in costume in July:

Shōta Takasaki as Osomatsu

Yūsuke Kashiwagi as Karamatsu

Keisuke Ueda as Choromatsu

Ryō Kitamura as Ichimatsu

Ren Ozawa as Jūshimatsu

Ryotaro Akazawa as Todomatsu

The play will also feature the "F6" versions of the sextuplets, who will be played by a different cast.

The F6 version's cast includes:

  • Yūki Izawa as F6 Osomatsu
  • Masanari Wada as F6 Karamatsu
  • Kento Ono as F6 Choromatsu
  • Yūya Asano as F6 Ichimatsu
  • Shinichi Wagō as F6 Jūshimatsu
  • Yūki Nakayama as F6 Todomatsu

Shin'ichi Ono is directing the play.

The play will run for seven showings at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka from September 29-October 3, and then for 15 showings at the Zepp Blue Theater Roppongi in Tokyo from October 13-23. Premium seats with a bonus present retail for 9,800 yen (about US$93), and general seats retail for 6,800 yen (US$64). The final showing will also have a live screening at various theaters across Japan.

Fujio Akatsuka's original Osomatsu-kun manga and "high tension comedy" TV anime centered on the Matsuno household, which has six naughty and mischievous sons (who are sextuplets). The original series followed the family when the sons were 10 years old.

The Mr. Osomatsu show re-imagines the original manga and TV anime with the sextuplets as adults. The series premiered last October. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. The anime series is also inspiring a new ongoing manga adaptation by Masako Shitara and an upcoming PlayStation Vita game.
