One Piece Reveals Anime Character Designs for Pudding, Big Mom

Toei also streams preview for next week's anime-original musical number

The official website for the One Piece franchise revealed the anime character designs on Sunday for the characters Charlotte Pudding and Big Mom.

Miyuki Sawashiro (Durarara!!'s Celty, 2011 Hunter × Hunter 's Kurapika) will voice the character Charlotte Pudding. Pudding is the 35th daughter of Big Mom, and she is Sanji's arranged fiancée.

Mami Koyama (Naruto Shippūden's Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, Dr. Slump's Arale) will play Big Mom. Toshiko Fujita previously played the character earlier in the anime series.

Toei Animation also began streaming a preview video on Sunday for the "Bloody Party" song that Big Mom will sing in the anime's 786th episode, which will air on April 30.

After the episode airs, music sites will begin distributing a short version of the song online. Original One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda coined the title of the song, and wrote the lyrics. Kōhei Tanaka, who composes the music for the television series and many of its specials and films, composed the song.

The One Piece television anime series entered the "Whole Cake Island" arc with the 783rd episode on April 9. The anime ended the three-episode anime-original "Marine Rookie" arc on April 2.
