Report outlines growth strategies for company over the fiscal year

CAPCOM released its overview of strategies and plans for the new fiscal year, which will end on March 31, 2018. The report includes information on the company's growth strategies across various media, and indicates a planned release of a "major" title by the end of the fiscal year.

The company's consumer strategies for the year include promoting multi-platform development, specifying the Nintendo Switch. CAPCOM also plans to focus on leading-edge markets, such as eSports with Street Fighter V, and brand penetration in Asia, while also planning the release of two major titles within the year. CAPCOM noted that it is planning to increase digital downloads of catalog titles.

CAPCOM expects to sell 2 million copies of Resident Evil 7: biohazard in the new fiscal year. The game shipped worldwide in January. The company also expects 2 million units sold for the fiscal year for its upcoming Marvel vs. CAPCOM Infinite fighting game. The game ships on September 19 in North America and Europe.

CAPCOM revealed its deep down online game in 2013, and originally it was the first game CAPCOM planned to release for the PlayStation 4. The company listed the project as part of its online games development in 2015. CAPCOM more recently filed a new trademark for "Deep Down" on February 9.
