Takuya Eguchi's IDOLiSH 7, Business Shellfish Characters Cross Over

Popular voice actor Takuya Eguchi took on the strange role of a business mollusk as part of the "Kaishain" (Clamployees) animated characters last month. Eguchi voices Higai, a middle-ranked employee who wants to avoid excessive personal damage at all costs. However, the character's perception of situations may not always be accurate. The character made an appearance on the "It's Morning! Kaishain" segment on Zip TV on May 19. Higai returned again on June 20, but wearing something different than his usual business attire.
Kaishain's official Twitter account shared an image of the snail in a hoodie holding a fan and light stick and possibly attending a concert. The character, using his catchphrase, says in the tweet's caption, "Not good! If I'm exposed to someone who knows me, not good!" It seems Higai is worried someone at his work might discover he's a member of the Idolish 7 fandom.
Fans immediately recognized Higai's disguise as one that character Nagi Rokuya wears in the Idolish 7 mobile game. Unsurprisingly, Eguchi also voices Rokuya, and June 20 is the character's birthday.
The Clamployees started appearing on the morning program over a year ago, and the shorts also screened at TOHO CINEMAS. Eguchi's character is the fourth exclusive to the morning program's segment.
Idolish 7 is Bandai Namco's fictional male idol group multimedia project. The project will have both a television anime series and a spinoff anime series.
