Idol K Manga Gets New 1-Shot in August

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

The August issue of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge revealed on July 15 that Tatsuki Miyazawa and Tōru Kawai are publishing a one-shot manga for Idol K, the manga spinoff of GoRA and GoHands' K franchise, in the magazine's next issue on August 17. Miyazawa was in charge of series composition for the original anime.

The manga reimagines if the characters in the franchise were all idols. The original manga launched in Shonen Magazine Edge in September 2015, and ended in 2016. Kodansha published one compiled book volume for the manga in April 2016. While Miyazawa also wrote the original manga, Yasuyuki Torikai (Shinyaku Märchen) drew the art.

The manga will get an anime film adaptation as part of the K: Seven Stories theatrical anime project.
