Monster Hunter: World Game's Videos Preview All 14 Weapons

The official website for CAPCOM's upcoming Monster Hunter: World game began streaming overview videos for all 14 of the game's weapons on Thursday. The videos preview gameplay with each weapon and include English text describing each item's strengths.
CAPCOM also announced on Wednesday that it is holding a weapon design contest for the game. Players can submit one original design for one of the existing weapon types with a name and description. CAPCOM is accepting entries via email, and the entry period will close on August 16.
The game is slated for early 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release to follow.
The new game will be an open world game that will no longer have the previous games' loading screens in between areas, and will thus no longer allow players to use zone transitions as safe zones. The game will have a "living ecosystem" that will allow players to use and destroy elements of the environment, and use monster behaviors against other monsters.
CAPCOM's latest Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter XX, shipped in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS on March 18, and will ship for the Nintendo Switch console on August 25. CAPCOM's Monster Hunter Stories role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS shipped in Japan on October 8, and it will arrive in the West this fall.
